Guidecraft Twist n' Sort Toy Recall

By Matt O'Donnell

Guidecraft Twist n' Sort recall
(LEGAFI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of about 760 Twist n' Sort toys due to a choking hazard. Consumers can contact the manufacturer for a free replacement.

The Twist n' Sort recall involves wooden toys manufactured by Guidecraft, Inc. because the small pegs on three of the four posts can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. So far no injuries or incidents have been reported, but consumers are urged to immediately take the recalled toys away from children and stop using them.

The Guidecraft recall affects Twist n' Sort wooden toys sold at specialty toy stores and gift shops nationwide, catalogs and online from September 2009 through November 2010 for about $20. The wooden toys have a square base, four posts and 12 primary-colored game pieces that can be arranged to fit over the posts. The Product Number "712" is printed on the underside of the base.

Consumers who have the recalled Twist n' Sort toys can contact Guidecraft to receive a free replacement or another product of equal value.
